Heard a stat that by watching the average Prem match you are exposed to 500 betting advertisements. That's obscene.
Also you just know if he played for us he would have got a lifetime ban!!!

Yup, and it's probably pretty tempting for young men (especially the single ones) with loads of time on their hands during the week and tens of thousands of pounds burning a hole in their pockets.
They probably don't play golf or go out on the lash any more like the players of yesteryear. It's all online gaming and betting.

I really don't have any issue with this, unless he's obviously working for some chinese betting syndicate, or course.

When I used to work for a gambling company I had a few local team professional footballers come into my shop on the odd occasion.
I had to physically go out onto the floor and watch what they were betting on, I had to remind them of the FA rules etc and my mate is an FA qualified ref just below conference south and he is reminded not to bet etc. But echoing like everyone has said, all these gambling firms are pretty much propping up the game and the players have everything around them named after a gambling company or site yet they have the book thrown at them for betting. Doesn't exactly help their cause especially as gambling is one of the easiest forms of addition to fall into.

I've always rated Toney, ever since I saw him play in the SkyBet Championship at the Bet365 stadium for HollywoodBets sponsored Brentford I had wanted him to join us and proudly wear the Betway shirt.
That has obviously all changed now, and I for one applaud the FA for taking a stand against gambling in football.

- There are leagues named after gambling sites
-Several teams have gambling sites as their sponsors
-Football coverage is swamped with gambling site adverts
But whatever you do don't bet on it!
